The acoustic bass guitars are the bass instruments that comprise a hollow wooden body that is a bit larger than a steel-string acoustic guitar. A bass/acoustic guitar is similar to the traditional the double bass and the electric bass. Generally the acoustic bass guitar has four strings that are tuned like E-A-D-G.

Construction and tuning
The acoustic bass guitar has a hollow and the majority is fretted, but still a few are fretless instead. The semi-fretted versions are also in production.
The body of acoustic bass guitars is very small to produce an acceptable volume at lower pitches with the ‘B’ string (lower one). As it is difficult to hear an acoustic bass guitar with no amplifiers, most acoustic basses come with pickups to be amplified with an instrument.
Also there is semi-acoustic guitars that come fitted with pickups intended to be used using an amplifier and their sound-box is not big enough to amplify the sound, but it is made in a way to produce a distinctive tone when used amplified (this is quite similar to the semi-acoustic electric guitars). The thin-body semi-acoustic basses like the violin-shaped ‘Höfner’ (became famous with the Beatles) and some Fender guitars are not regarded as acoustic basses, but as ‘hollow-bodied’ bass guitars.

People, believe it or not, but really at this site, you get what you see. I am telling you about my purchase, I was searching for a cheap priced acoustic bass guitar and when I found one here, I made a deal and found my instrument very good just as it was promised on the site. Earlier, I had lost my hard earned money on other claimed cheap guitars that were not only cheap in price, but also in quality too. But, this time I am happy with my purchase.
