Ibanez Guitar Company is owned by the Hoshino Gakki Group based in Aichi, Japan. The Gakki group is one of the few Japanese musical instrument companies that have gained a significant foothold in America and Europe.
Actually, the Ibanez Guitar was originated in Spain some 600 years ago. During the Spanish Civil War in 1960s, Japanese group bought the rights to distribute these guitars in the US.
