The founder of Paul Smith Guitars’, Mr. Paul Reed Smith is a luthier himself. He made his first guitar St. Mary's College of Maryland. Later, he continues making guitars at least one in a month. Later, with John "Orkie" Ingram, he formed his company. This Company manufactures great solid and hollow bodied instruments. These guitars are made with a vast range of exotic materials like elaborately figured woods, various stones and intricate shells used for the inlays.
Models –
Paul Reed Smith MIRA – This is a great guitar that features a fully adjustable bridge. This guitar gives you complete control for intonation because you can adjust each string perfectly. The bridge is really flexible. The action on this instrument is easily adjustable.
The body and neck is made of mahogany. It sounds good and looks good.
Paul Reed Smith PRS SE – This Paul Reed Smith electric guitar is a great instrument. It features a purple sunburst on its top made of maple. It has the traditional bird inlays with a classic PRS look. There are 24 frets with gold hardware. The body and neck are made of mahogany. The scale length is 25". The fret board is made of Rosewood. Then neck is shaped wide thin. It has Bat Inlays. It has one volume and tone control with a 3 ways pickup selector.
Paul Reed Smith PRS McCarty Archtop – This guitar has a carved top made of maple (“10”). The back and sides are also made of mahogany. The neck of this guitar is in wide-fat shape that is also made of mahogany. There are 22 frets and both the pickups are archtops. This guitar is very loud and produces a warm tone, it has a great sustain.
PAUL REED SMITH PRS SOAPBAR P90 – This guitar features the tradition of the first ‘SE Soapbar’ It is a re-issue with the cutaway design. This beautiful instrument has a solid mahogany body. It has a scale length of 25" with 22 frets. The neck is made of mahogany and the fret board is made of rosewood. It features moon inlays with two excellent soapbar pickups. It’s simply great.
