When you hear ‘vintage’, it means something of very good quality and usually expensive. When it comes to price, the vintage item collectors have no qualms as long as the item is unique and retains high quality. Today, in this modern age just like the many other vintage items, the vintage guitar means quality.
Today you can find vintage electric guitar, vintage acoustic guitar and vintage bass guitars.
But what exactly defines a vintage guitar? Generally, people think that the term ‘vintage’ suits for anything that is around for more than 25 years. But, this is not the case in the world of vintage guitars. A vintage guitar is a guitar that is made between 1920 and 1970. And there is a reason behind this essential period.
Actually, before 1920, the guitars used to be the instruments that were too primitive. But, since the 1970, the production of guitars transformed dramatically. So, this is the main thing behind this phenomenon.
Before 1970, mostly guitars were handmade and were crafted by proficient music instrument makers, but after 1970 the guitars mostly were made by machine controlled by computers.
So, if someone tells you that a guitar manufactured after 1970 is a ‘so-called’ little or rare production and it is a vintage guitar and then do not believe it as the rational being it was made post 1970.
Today, a lot of people demand the vintage guitars. The price of a vintage guitar depends on the condition of the instrument. But, these guitars are always high in value as long as they have their original parts and original finish. However, if any changed have been made to the instrument with new components, then it loses the value.

I bought one Vintage guitar from this site for my cousin sister. I bought the model – ’1975 Guild G75′. This guitar is just amazing. This guitar has beautiful craftsmanship with great tone and playability. My cousin is very happy with this instrument. I would recommend this one to all.
